Law Union of BC — Brand Identity
The Law Union of BC is a progressive organization of lawyers, law students, legal workers, activists and community members who seek to use the law as a tool for social change. They recognize that any engagement with the law is inherently political, and that to stay neutral in the face of oppression is to side with the oppressors.

MAM 6 — Mental Health Posters
The Muslim Art Movement is a curated art exhibit where muslim artists from Calgary and surrounding areas share their artistry with the larger community. As art is often an outlet for people to make sense of their personal and communal experiences, the Western Muslim Initiative believes it to be important to highlight the significance that art holds in our lives. This year’s theme was focused around mental health and the communal endeavour to disrupt the cultural stigma surrounding it. Artists will be displaying their art, while giving us a glimpse into their mental health journey.
Designed in collaboration with Jake Lim.
WM — Interactive Annual Report
This annual report presented the Western Muslim Initiative (a non-profit) in a contemporary manner to create an accessible and positive impression on
the general North American public. Graphic elements of streamlined Arabic typography, in combination with textured surfaces and bold colours, appear throughout the report. The traditional geometric patterns were first broken down into simple shapes representing the values and diversity of the community and then reassembled to create striking linear patterns.
An interactive component (perforated shapes) was added to the report to allow users to make their own custom patterns - symbolizing their involvement in building this diverse community.
